The purpose of this project is to generate integrated conservation actions that link nature reserves with multifunctional landscapes through the participation of local stakeholders. Project objectives include (i) strengthening fire control and management in nature reserves and protected areas through the production of seedlings and reforestation; (ii) reducing threats by managing invasive species, native flora and fauna as well as controlling poaching in multifunctional landscapes and reintroducing native species in protected areas; and (iii) designing and implementing an eco-tourism circuit to connect protected areas and areas of high conservation value. Workshops and field activities will be conducted with teachers, farmers, managers of protected areas, volunteer firefighters, tourist guides, and rural and semi-rural communities.
