Rift Valley Local Empowerment for Peace: Kenya

Rift Valley Local Empowerment for Peace (LEAP): When violence erupted in Kenya following disputed presidential elections, conflict centered on political power, economic opportunity, and land. This project built mechanisms for conflict mitigation and reconciliation in the Rift Valley Province, supported community dialogues that disseminated information about the new reform agenda on land and reconciliation, and supported cash-for-work reconstruction projects.
