Morocco Economic Competitiveness (MEC) project

The Objective of the MEC Program is to provide technical assistance to improve Morocco Economic Enabling Environment. Economic growth in Morocco, and improved youth employment in particular, depends on the nation’s ability to be competitive in the global economy, which in turn requires that the barriers to productivity improvements as well as to trade and investment be reduced. Achieving this objective requires that the economic enabling environment in Morocco be improved, that the nation’s scarce water resources be sustainably used for agriculture, and that the workforce possesses the skills required by a modern economy. Improving capital and labor productivity is key to more accelerated economic growth in Morocco.
