Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania regarding ownership, use and management of land and other natural resources.

The Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania have agreed as follows: 1) Land, subsoil, water and other natural resources within the boundaries of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania being public property is managed and protected as the basis of life and vital activity. 2) The parties recognize the presence on the territory of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania of natural resources pertaining to federal, republican and joint management. 3) The parties carry out by mutual agreement delimitation, management and utilization of natural resources taking into account the interests of the people living on the territory of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania. 4) The parties have agreed that utilization and management of the objects pertaining to federal property on the territory of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania is carried out by the Government of the Russian Federation reciprocally with executive bodies of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania. 5) The Government of the Russian Federation is entitled to carry out regulation, co-ordination and financing of the programs concerning the use of natural resources of federal importance in the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania.
