This Regulation, consisting of 66 sections divided into nine Parts, implements the Land Act 1994 to ensure the proper administration of State land, including allocating land to its most appropriate use and most appropriate tenure and ensuring that the community receives a fair and appropriate return on its land asset.The Regulation prescribes the guidelines for trustee permits and leases (Part 2), regulates land holdings (Part 3) and matters affecting land holdings including rents, concessional rents, etc.(Part 4). Part 5 regulates registration and dealings, while Part 7 regulates continued rights and tenures. The Regulation is completed by 12 schedules.
