The present Regulation is made under the Surveyors Act. In particular the Regulation lays down provisions relating to the Association of Ontario Land Surveyors. The principal object of the Association is to regulate the practice of professional land surveying and to govern its members and holders of certificates of authorization in accordance with the afore-mentioned Act and the present Regulations serve and protect the public interest. The Regulation includes the code of ethics and the standards of practice, which must be adhered to by all members of the Association. In addition, there are standards for surveys and guidelines for surveys established to ensure that the public receives consistently reliable surveys. The text consists of 43 sections.
