This Act provides rules relative to the carrying out of land survey and creates the Land Surveyors Board. The Board shall maintain a register of surveyors, determine the qualifications and experience of surveyors and hear and determine disciplinary proceedings against surveyors in accordance with the provisions of this Act.
This Act amends various enactments including the Forestry Act. That Act is amended in section 72 by adding after paragraph 71(2)(d) a new provision “(da) the requirements for the importation of sawn timber and wood products". and by inserting a new section 13A which requires the Customary Land Tribunal to consult the Council of Ministers, the Minister and the Director General of the Ministry of Finance before making any determination.

This Act amendments the Quarry Act in provisions concerning, among other things, a ban on quarry activities for environmental protection reasons, approval of development on land subject to a dispute between custom owners, suspension of a quarry permit and various environmental considerations regarding developments.

This Act amends the Land Leases Act by deleting “Companies Act [CAP 191]” (wherever occurring) and substituting “Companies Act No. 25 of 2012. It also makes amendments to section 4 on registration of leases held by companies in the Land Leases Register.

This Act makes provision with respect to the creation and registration of leases. There shall be a Land Leases Register for the registration of each lease required to be registered by this Act. The Act defines various conditions applying to a registered lease and the effects of registration. Other provisions of this Act concern other titles in land such as mortgages and easements, co-ownership, transmission, trusts, and cautions.
This Act amends the Land Reform Act by addition of provisions (replacing sections 6,7 and 8) concerning, among other things; the certification of negotiator of land rights or land disputes of custom land owners; the identification of custom owners or disputing groups by the National Coordinator; consultation with the custom owners; procedures of the negotiation process including a custom owners’ consultation report; consent to a negotiated lease; notification of intention to register lease instrument; appointment of the Land Ombudsman; lodging of complaints with the Land Ombudsman; function
Amendments of the principal Act are made by this Act in relation to: definitions (sect. 1 of the principal Act), the Land Leases Register (sects. 2,4), registered leases and freehold titles in estates in the framework of the coming into force of the Freehold Titles Act No. 13 of 1994 (sects. 8, 13, 14, 15, 22, 30, 51, 52, 54, 56, 57, 59, 60, 66, 67, 69, 71, 72, 76, 91 and 107). Section 12A provides that the Director may combine or subdivide freehold estates in specified cases.
The Schedule to the Land Leases Act is further amended by the repeal of subparagraph (b) of paragraph 3 and the substitution therefore of the following paragraph:"(b) The Government, any Local Government Council, any Municipal Council and the National Housing Corporation shall be exempted from payment of any fees under this Act."

A new section is inserted which prescribes that it shall be implied in every registered lease created prior to a specified date or created on or after the relevant date an agreement between the lessee and the lessor to the effect that lessee shall not dispose of the leased land or part thereof or interest comprised therewith without the previous written consent of the lessor, and the lessor shall not withhold such consent by the unreasonably.
