This Act makes provision for the recognition, protection and registration of community land rights and also provides for conversion of community land, special rights and entitlements with respect to community land, environment and natural resources management of community land and settlement of disputes relating to community land.
These Rules amend the Registered Land Rules in the Fifth Schedule. The Fifth Schedule prescribes fees in relation to (the application for) services required or carried out under the principal Regulations.

This Act provides rules for physical planning, including Integrated Urban Areas and Town Development Planning, in Marsabit County. County plans shall be made in accordance with provisions of Part XI of the County Governments Act, 2012. This Act prescribes content of county physical development plan and creates a county planning unit which within the county government and a county planning unit.
Land is in no doubt the most important asset in the lives of Kenyans. It is a factor of production which is core to the economic activities of this country. The advent of settlers and colonialism in East Africa placed land in a high level of importance than before. It is not a unique situation for Kenya. Wars have been fought world over with ownership of land and other resources associated with it being at the center of controversy. When colonialism set in, many people were displaced from their original homes.
Land retains a focal point in Kenya's history. It was the basis upon which the struggle for independence was waged. It has traditionally dictated the pulse of our nationhood. It continues to command a pivotal position in the country's social, economic, political and legal relations. It is not surprising therefore that land has since the colonial times to-date, been the subject of myriad state managed policy and legal interventions. Neither is it surprising that it has been the subject of many Commissions of Inquiry.

This Act provides with respect to water resources management and water and sanitation in Kiambu County. It establishes two Water Service Providers and defines functions of the Department of Water and Sanitation Services. The Act furthermore concerns, among other things: water services; sustainable management of water resources; water and soil conservation; storm water management; sanitation services; and pollution control.
