The objective of this Road Map is to propose the main aspects to consider and steps to take to initiate, monitor and contribute to the review of the current Land Law (LL – Law 19/97, of October 1). The review of this law entails the subsequent review of its implementing instruments, namely the associated Decrees and Ministerial Diplomas approved since 1997.
Este Road Map tem como objectivo propôr os aspectos principais e os passos a seguir para iniciar, acompanhar e contribuir para uma revisão da actual Lei de Terras (LT -Lei 19/97 de 199 de Outubro). A revisão da Lei implica também a subsequente revisão dos instrumentos implementadores, nomeadamente Decretos e Diplomas Ministeriais conexos aprovados desde 1997.

Zambia remains committed to the socio-economic development planning of the country as reflected by the return to development planning in 2005. The Seventh National Development Plan (7NDP) for the period 2017- 2021 is the successor to the Revised Sixth National Development Plan, 2013-2016 (R-SNDP) following its expiry in December 2016. The Plan, like the three national development plans (NDPs) that preceded it, is aimed at attaining the long-term objectives as outlined in the Vision 2030 of becoming a “prosperous middle-income country by 2030”.

This strategy is an integral component of the ongoing macroeconomic adjustment and structural reforms that are supported by Tanzania's development partners.
In August 2001, The Government of Tanzania (GoT) approved the Agricultural Sector Development Strategy (ASDS) which envisages an agricultural sector that, by 2025, is modernized, commercial, highly productive and profitable, and utilizes natural resources in a sustainable manner. The ASDS has identified five strategic issues:
• Strengthening the institutional framework.
• Creating a favorable environment for commercial activities.
• Clarifying public and private sector roles in improving support services.
