The Medium Term Development Plan 2011-2015 (MTDP) is a 5-year rolling development plan that sets the sector strategies, targets, deliverables and their projected estimated cost of implementation. The MTDP is aimed at translating the Papua New Guinea Development Strategic Plan 2010-2030 (PNGDSP) into tangible results.
This Act provides rules concerning how property passes on a person‘s death. This includes reforms which relate to the rectification of wills; the effect of divorce, dissolution or annulment on a will or special destination; and the revival of a revoked will. Land, and in particular agricultural land, is central to livelhoods in rural Zambia. Zambia is characterised by a dual legal system of customary and statutory law and by dual land tenure, with state land and customary land. A first wave of socialist-oriented reforms took place after independence in 1964, which abolished previously existing freehold land in favour of leasehold. Subsequent changes in government policies under the influence of structural adjustment programmes and a new government in 1991 paved the way for a market-driven land reform.
Public land is a resource that should be effectively managed in the public’s best interest in line with provisions of the Constitutions of Kenya and the Land Act. The management framework governing land use and development decisions on public land should ensure protection and sustainable management of the land. Despite these provisions in law, recent media reports point toresurgenceof public land grab. The Land Development and Governance Institute commissioned this research study to establish the status of the public land management in Kenya.

The President decrees that the plots of land and the property connected with them must be considered real estate. The real estate contracts are regulated by Civil Code in accordance with Land, Forestry, Environmental, other specific Legislative Acts and this Decree. Physical And juridical persons, that own plots of land, have the right to sell, to bequeath, to give as a gift, to mortgage, to lease, to exchange and to render them as a share to the-joint stock companies. Each landowner is provided with land certificate that must be registered into land cadastre.
The Land Rights Policy is a national sectoral policy that provides the Land Commission’s policy recommendations for land rights in Liberia, centred on four basic types of rights: public land, Government land, customary land, and private land. In addition, a Protected Area is defined as a land which may fall under the Government Land, customary land, or private land categories, but which must be conserved for the benefit of all Liberians. The Policy will form the basis of a new land rights law, and will require substantial changes to the existing legal framework.
