The Gambos municipality is part of Angolamilk region. However milk;which is life sustaining in these communities;was found to be in short supply due to diminishing grazing pastures correlating with the introduction of commercial cattle ranches to the area. It is the impact of commercial ranches on pastoralists which has removed their buffer against droughts and thus dangerously threatened food security.

Le foncier est une question à la fois stratégique et centrale dans les processus de développement, et pour cause : la terre avec ses immenses ressources qu’elle englobe, est le premier intrant de la production. A ce titre, elle permet de répondre aux enjeux multiples qui ont pour noms : sécurité alimentaire, emploi agricole surtout pour les jeunes, exportation, etc.
C’est pourquoi la Commission de l’UEMOA s’est très tôt intéressée au foncier dans tous ses aspects, car étant une des questions au cœur du processus d’intégration communautaire.

This paper shares findings from new research on gender and land in a pastoralist community in central- western Mongolia, with a complex structure of investment and operations in gold mining. The paper examines what has been learned from the research about people's coping strategies in the face of social and environmental change, specifically in the context of the development of mining since the transition from socialism and in a relatively isolated area.

Publicación revisada por paresDiciembre, 2020República CentroafricanaThe Horn of Africa has seen its fair share of natural resource conflicts among and between competing pastoralists communities. The conflicts hitherto associated with men, ignored women pastoralists’ role in the same conflict. Using an existing data and an open-ended qualitative approach the study sought answers on the role of women pastoralists in conflict in the horn of Africa. Results show that women have a hand in conflict either by offering active or passive support. The review takes note that women’s involvement in conflict has evolved to peace-building.

of protection from customary law even if customary institutions are male-dominated. In periods
