Main object of the Code is to ensure uniformity of law and policy with respect to land tenure, registration of titles relating to land, transfer of land, leases and charges in respect of land, easements and other rights and interests in land.

This Act concerns the abolition on certain restrictions concerning trusts and provides rules for the creation in Nauru of a trust in perpetuity or for any lesser duration. This Act shall not apply to any settlement, disposition or trust of any land or of any interest in any land where such land is situated in Nauru. The Act also concerns grant of administration of a foreign will or estate. Executors of a foreign will or administrators of a foreign estate shall be a trustee corporation.
This Law, consisting of five Chapters, regulates the requirements to transfer the land ownership of any immoveable property. It specifies terms and conditions to deal with land, benefits from the land, building and things constructed or situated on that land and things installed on those buildings. It establishes land property restrictions, registration, offences and penalties.

This Act lays down rules regarding the acquisition of property rights of agricultural and forestry lands, the institution of usufruct right on such lands, the use of land, the control on restrictions relative to the acquisition of land, and rules regarding local land commissions. This Act applies to all land in the national territory.
This Act makes provision for the administration of estates in Belize of deceased foreign persons. It assigns powers to representatives of specified countries of origin of the deceased person to administer the estate if there is no person present in Belize at the time of death who is rightfully entitled to administer the estate of such deceased person. Nothing contained in this Act shall affect the Crown’s right under the Administration of Estates Act. The representative shall apply for letters of administration to be issued by court.
This Act grants powers within Montserrat to the Consul, Vice-Consul, or Consular Agent of a State to administer the estate of a deceased person of such State. Such Consul, Vice-Consul, or Consular Agent shall immediately apply for, and shall be entitled to obtain from the Court, Letters of Administration of the property of the deceased person, limited in such manner and for such time as to the Court shall seem fit.

The present Act lays down provisions concerning the acquisition of immovable property by non residents, which basically shall be prohibited, except for certain circumstances under which such acquisition shall be allowed (those specified in article 5). As a general rule, A person, other than a physical or a non resident person, may acquire by an act inter vivos immovable property in Malta without the necessity of obtaining a permit under this Act where such immovable property is required for the purpose of carrying out the activity for which it has been set up.
