RegulacionesJunio, 2016RusiaThis Order establishes the modalities of reforestation with a view of restoration of deforested, destroyed and damaged forest areas. The scope of reforestation shall be restoration of forest plantations, conservation of biological diversity and conservation of environmental values of forests. Reforestation shall be performed in natural, artificial and combined (combination of natural and artificial reforestation) manner. Reforestation shall be performed on (a) forest plots allotted on lease for timber extraction; and (b) on other forest plots by state bodies and local government.

This Ministerial Decree regulates the modalities of lease of public forest land to natural and legal persons. Forested and unforested land can be granted on lease for reforestation in accordance with contract for the period of 10 years. The applicant shall submit the application form containing personal data, address, location of requested forest plot land to the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources. Sub-lease of public forest land shall be prohibited.

RegulacionesLetonia, Europa, Europa septentrionalThis Decree establishes the modalities of exemption from payment of land tax of afforestation and reforestation areas. It shall be applicable to forest species considered regenerated or regrown by State Forest Service, the age of main species for the current year of survey an assessment shall not exceed: (a) coniferous – 40 years; (b) hardwoods broadleaved species – 40 years; and (c) soft broadleaved species and speckled alder – 10 years. Land shall be exonerated from payment of land tax if on it has been performed forest inventory in accordance with the established modalities.

Young growth shall be identified as such in accordance with the classification of State Forest Service applicable to afforestation and reforestation areas age of which shall not exceed the following parameters: (a) 40 years for coniferous species; (b) 40 years for broad-leaved hard-wooded species; (c) 20 years for broad-leaved softwood species (except for speckled alder); and (d) 10 years for speckled alder.

Regional executive bodies shall be responsible for education of the population related to management, keeping and reproduction of green plantations in urban areas.
