This Rural Land Use and Administration Policy of the Afar National Regional State seeks to provide an answer to the following problems: The traditional land administration and use system is not in line with the formal government land administration and use system.
This National Land Policy will guide the country towards efficient, sustainable and equitable use of land for prosperity and posterity. The Mission of the Policy aims at: promoting positive land reforms for the improvement of the livelihoods of Kenyans through the establishment of accountable and transparent laws, institutions and systems dealing with land (sec. 1.3). The overall objective of the National Land Policy is to secure rights over land and provide for sustainable growth, investment and the reduction of poverty in line with the Government’s overall development objectives.
The South Sudan Development Plan (SSDP) 2011-2013 is a national planning instrument adopted by the Government as a response to core development and state building challenges during the first three years of independence. The Land Code makes provision for the regulation of "land relations" and its purpose is to secure rational use and protection of land, the protection of the environment, and "the equal development of all forms of economic activity in Tajikistan" (Preamble). Other laws regulating land relations may be enacted on the basis of this Code.Land is declared to be in exclusive ownership if the State in article 2.
This comprehensive Agreement between Canada, British Columbia and the Tla’amin Nation is a Treaty and a Land Claims Agreement within the meaning of sections 25 and 35 of the Constitution Act, 1982. The Agreement exhaustively sets out the rights of Tla’amin First Nation, their attributes, the geographic extent of those rights, and the limitations to those rights to which the Parties have agreed.
