    The Decree sets out the general conditions for the transfer of ownership of government lands to the Omani citizens under their personal request. It also sets forth rules with respect to land ownership and land use rights. The conditions for granting residential lands, commercial and industrial lands or agricultural lands are stated in the Decree.The authorities of reference are the Ministry of Land Affairs and the municipalities.

    This Act may be cited as the Immovable Property (Tenure, Registration and Valuation) (Amendment) (No. 3) Law of 2016 and shall be read together with the Immovable Property (Tenure, Registration and Valuation) Law. Amendments deal with adminstrative and legal proceedings for land leasing. Article 2 of the basic law is amended by adding the following new terms and definitions of "government settlement".

    Privatization of State-owned enterprises is allowed in all sectors of the economy (art. 3). The privatisation shall be managed by a lead agency named the State property management Committee (art. 4). It shall prepare a privatization programme. Enterprises shall be sold by the State Property Fund, a State company acting on a commercial base (art. 6).

    This Act makes provision for the payment of compensation for withholding of property by persons acting in collusion with tenants and for the recovery of non-paid rent. The Act also makes provision for the renewal of leases without the surrender of land.

    The Code regulates the land relations on the territory of Armenia and intends to provide effective land use and maintenance, environmental protection and improvement, creation of conditions for equal development of all economic forms based on a variety of property, preservation of rights of citizens, enterprises and organizations, and at legal reinforcement of the rule of law in the sphere of land relations (Preamble). The Code sets out the redistribution of the land stocks by allotting land as property, for permanent use and for temporary use (art.5-7).

    This Law establishes the principles governing property rights in Armenia. The object of property may be, inter alia, land, bowels of the earth, waters (rivers and lakes) and vegetation and animal life (art. 6). Land is given to the citizens of the Republic of Armenia, by property right, for operating an agricultural enterprise, for gardening, for the construction and maintenance of homes as well as other needs provided by law. The order and condition of land allotment, by property right, is determined by the Land Code of the Republic of Armenia (art. 11). (61 articles)

    This Law regulates state registration of property rights, the general principles of which shall be: (a) state protection of registered rights to property; and (b) the accessibility, objectivity, updating and centralization of cadastre data. State registration shall be implemented by a unified state cadastre system of real estate, which shall be a national public administration body authorized by the Government and its territorial branches.
