This Act amends various written laws including the Wildlife Conservation Act (in respect of Disposal of trophies during proceedings), the Sugar Industry Act and the Land Act (in section 19(2), by inserting the phrase “or issued under the Export Processing Zones Act” immediately after the words “the Tanzania Investment Act” appearing in paragraphs (b) and (c).
Article 7 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Article 7. Management, use and disposal of state land by trust.
The scope of this Law shall be to prevent speculation in agricultural land and preserve traditional forms of farming; to create conditions for the formation of rational land holdings and land consolidation; and to promote the rational use of agricultural land. It shall not be applicable to agricultural land of subsistence farming, land used for horticulture and gardening, and inherited land and land owned by the way of restoration of legal rights of ownership.

This Decree, consisting of 10 articles, creates the Land Regularization Programme for Rural Land in the State of Rio Grande do Sul. This Land Regularization Programme aims at legitimizing land tenure and granting the right to use vacant rural lands, such as: those lands not included in the Union; those belonging to the domain of the State, are not used by the Public Power or intended for specific administrative purposes, and those that, not belonging to the domain of the Union, and are not in the private domain by any legitimate title.
Article 2 shall be amended to add the following wording: “The list of particularly precious agricultural land areas prohibited for other uses except for agricultural production, specifying land area and location thereof shall be validated by the Regional Government”.

La presente Ley regula la expropiación pro utilidad pública. La utilidad pública debe servir de fundamento legal a la expropiación, y comprende todos los casos en que se procure la satisfacción del bien común, sea éste de naturaleza material o espiritual. This Law regulates social relations related to rational management of pastures and is aimed at improvement the state and infrastructure thereof with a view of prevention of degradation of pastures. Pastures shall be classified as arid pastures, rotation (high-productive) pastures and seasonal pastures destined for seasonal grazing and transhumance. Legal status of pastures shall be determined in accordance with appurtenance thereof.
