   This Act provides rules relative to the survey of land. consists of 49 sections which are divided into 9 Parts: Preliminary (I); Administration (II); Recognition and Duties of Land Surveyors (III); Original Surveys and Re-surveys (IV); Division Surveys (V); Townships (VI); Beacons and Boundaries (VII); General Plans and Diagrams (VIII); Miscellaneous (IX).At Harare a Surveyor-General's Office is established (sect. 7). A Survey Regulations Board is established under section 8. The Board may make Regulations, with approval of the Minister, prescribing matters specified in section 9.

   This Act concerns rural land. The Act consists of 15 sections divided into 4 Parts: Preliminary (I); Acquisition and Alienation of State Land (II); Occupation of Land by Person Other Than Owner Not Involving Subdivision (III); General (IV).Communal land and other specified types of land are excluded from the operation of this Act (sect. 3). Section 5 provides for the acquisition of land by the State; section 6 for the alienation of State land.

   This Act concerns the administration of estates, the ownership of which is not clearly defined of has some legal impediments.Administration shall be carried out by public officers appointed under this Act (i.e. the Master of the High Court, the Deputy Master and Assistant Masters).    These Regulations of the Minister of Lands and Rural Resettlement made under section 39, as read with section 7(a), of the Agricultural Land Settlement Act, concern the conditions and procedures for the issuing of Agricultural Land Settlement Permit. Every permit is issued subject to the terms and conditions specified in these Regulations. The Regulations also set out the rights and obligations of permit holders.

   This Act establishes the Agricultural and Rural Development Authority under section 3 as a body corporate. The operations of the Authority shall, subject to this Act, be controlled by a Board constituted under section 5.    These By-laws, approved by the Minister in terms of section 90 of the Rural District Councils Act, shall apply to communal and resettlement land within the Makonde Rural District Council. They allow the Makonde Rural District Council to prepare a plan for- (a) all communal or resettlement land within the Council area; or (b) any ward or combination of wards in communal and resettlement land within the Council area; or (c) any part of award or wards in communal and resettlement land within the Council area. The By-laws set out the procedure for preparation and adoption of the Plan.

    This Act concerns measures to prevent and correct unlawful occupancy of gazetted land and related matters. "Gazetted land" is agricultural land required for resettlement purposes. “Resettlement land” means land identified as resettlement land under the Rural District Councils Act. Persons unlawfully holding, using or occupying gazetted land shall cease to do so in accordance with this Act and may be awarded compensation for improvements effected on the land before its acquisition.
