   The purpose of the Act is to promote and facilitate outdoor recreation ensuring Marka's borders and preserve a natural and cultural heritage, as well as sustainability thereof. The geographical area Marka is composed by the following areas: Kjekstad Marka, Vard Åsmarka, Vestmarka Krokskogen, Bærumsmarka, North Marka, Lillomarka, Romeriksåsene, Gjellerås Marka, Østmarka and Sørmarka.    The purpose of this Regulation is to clarify the national land policy in the 100-meter coastal belt. The aim is to safeguard public interests and prevent unfortunate construction along lakes, in accordance to the Planning and Building Act. The Regulation ensures that a stronger geographic differentiation is suggested for the key areas where pressure on land is high.

   Høgfjells in North Gudbrandsdal is an area allocated for lamb seasonal grazing. Lamb production from there encompasses municipalities of Dovre, Lesja, Lom, Oppland, Skjåk and Lom. A significant portion of this grazing area should be higher than 800 m. within said geographical landmark. Lambs shall be released for pasture as soon as grazing in this mountainous area is considered to be satisfactory (cows will graze for a minimum of 11 weeks in pastures located over 800 meters).

   The scope of this Act is to promote the ecologically-sustainable reindeer husbandry based on Sami culture, traditions and customs. The Act provides for rights and duties of reindeer herders; regulates the relationship with other economic activities having regard to the general interest; regulates the relationship between reindeer herders as far as necessary; and lays the foundation for administration and organization of reindeer husbandry. The Act provides for the establishment of reindeer districts which shall be administered by a district council.

   This Decree contains rules relative to various stages of and the procedures for the partition of land in accordance with the Land Partition Act. It also defines the duties of local authorities in this process. The stages are, among other things, survey and mapping, the establishment of borders of land, distribution of registration numbers and assignment of an official address.

   A Decree of the Department of the Environment to protect the environment from pollution from tanks for the storage of oil which are lying underground. The provisions of the Decree deal, inter alia, with: quality of tanks (sect. 4); control of tanks in general (sect. 5); periodical controls (sect. 6); automatic leakage control of tanks with double walls (sect. 7); notification of tanks to municipalities (sect. 9); supervisions and registration (sect. 10).
