   At its sixty-first session in September 2000, the ECE Committee on Human Settlements accepted the proposal of the Bureau of the Working Party on Land Administration to provide expert assistance to Armenia on land administration issues (ECE/HBP/119, annex I, programme element “Land registration and land markets”). Security of tenure is one of the most important factors in fighting poverty and stabilizing communities by improving housing conditions through housing investments, reducing social exclusion, improving access to urban services, environment and safety in urban areas.

   This Decree, consisting of 24 articles divided into four Chapters, promulgates the Regulation on land border areas of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and provides the management of activities of people and vehicles in these areas; responsibilities of agencies, organizations and individuals for the construction, management and protection of land border areas of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. 2. In case the provisions of this Regulation are different from those of treaties to which the Socialist Republic of Vietnam is a contracting party, the provisions of such treaties prevail.

   This Act adds a new Chapter to the Liberian Code to create the Liberian Land Authority. The Authority shall be a body corporate and shall be governed by a Commission. The primary mandate of the Authority is to develop policies on a continuous basis, undertake actions and implement programs for land governance.

   This Act provides generally for registration of rights in land and land tenure in Belize. “Land” includes land covered with water, all things growing on land and buildings and other things permanently affixed to land.    This Act concerns the development, regulation, construction, management and control of Special Economic Zones in Jamaica. It establishes the Special Economic Zone Authority, which shall be a body corporate. It also creates a Special Economic Zone Fund.
