    This Act establishes committees with powers to preserve and reclaim land and to protect water resources in approved areas of the Gold Coast.     The text of the Act opens with an extensive interpretation section. It includes definitions of "contiguous", "diagram", "erf", "land surveyor", "owner", "reference mark", and "township". The Minister shall appoint a Chief Surveyor-General (sect. 2).     Section 2 empowers the Minister of Land Affairs to delegate any power conferred upon him or her by or under a law regarding land matters to a premier or member of the Executive Council of a Province or any officer contemplated in section 1 of the Local Government Transition Act, 1993.
