    All area described in the Schedule hereto is declared a designated area for the purposes of the Aliens Land Holding Act (reg. 2). No alien shall acquire land within the area designated hereunder and no legal or equitable title in such land shall vest in an alien unless such alien shall have first applied for and been granted a licence by the Minister to acquire and to hold an estate in such land (reg. 3). The Minister may grant licences upon such terms and conditions specified in the licence as he may deem fit (reg. 4). (5 regulations and a Schedule)

    The Act regulates the holding of lands in Dominica by foreigners. "Alien" means a person or who is not a citizen of one of the Member States of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States, including companies which are under the control or are deemed to be under the control of an alien (sect. 2).

    The Lieutenant Governor in Council may make Regulations for the purpose of prohibiting, annulling or in any manner restricting the taking or acquisition directly or indirectly of, or the succession to, any interest in controlled land (as defined), provided that they do not operate so as to prohibit, annul or in any manner restrict the ownership by a person of interests in controlled land consisting of not more than 2 parcels containing, in the aggregate, not more than 20 acres.

    These Regulation pertain to the ownership of agricultural and recreational land in Alberta. Under section 4, no ineligible person or foreign controlled corporation shall take or acquire, directly or indirectly, an interest in controlled land – which is land in Alberta but does not include (a)land of the Crown in right of Alberta, (b) land within the boundaries of a city, town, new town, village or summer village, and (c) mines and minerals. The Regulation further specifies which are the percentage of foreign ownership that are allowed (sect. 13).

    The purpose of this Act is to provide for the regulation of property rights in Prince Edward Island, especially the amount of land that may be held by a person or corporation. Section 2 establishes the maximum land holdings, section 4 concerns land holdings by persons who are not resident in the Province. Section 6 is dedicated to land holding permits, their effects and requirements. Other provisions concern access to information (sect. 10), enforcement (sect. 12), offences (sect. 13) and investigation (sect. 15).

    La presente Ley establece la zona de seguridad fronteriza del Paraguay, correspondiente a la franja de 50 kilómetros adyacente a las líneas de frontera terrestre y fluvial del territorio nacional. El artículo 2º dispone que los extranjeros oriundos de cualquiera de los países limítrofes no podrán ser propietarios, condóminos o usufructuarios de inmuebles rurales en la zona de seguridad fronteriza. Sin embargo, dicha disposición no afectará a los derechos adquiridos anteriormente a la vigencia de esta Ley.
