The Action Plan is a national plan with a sectoral approach. The time frame of the Plan is 10 years between 2010 -2020. The objectives of the Plan are a) improvement of forest management; b) capacity building; c) protection of forests; d) forestry sector development; e) development of private sector.To increase forest production and to reduce the risks of forest production losses, strong control mechanisms will be enforced, environmental protection and forest management will be improved. These Regulations make provision for the selection, designation, registration and notification of sites to be protected under the Council Directive 92/43/EEC on the conservation of natural habitats and of wild fauna and flora. These Regulations also implement aspects of the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009.
