It consists of 26 Parts divided into 309 sections.Section 10 defines what is to be intended as Aboriginal land and Part 3 on Formal expression of interest about land, provides for the procedures to be followed in granting transferable land and Aboriginal land.Part 4 on Grant of transferable land as Aboriginal land, contains dispositions on the claiming of land, while Part 5 on Claims for claimable land, regulates the granting of land as Aboriginal land.

    The Act consolidates and amends the law relating to the acquisition of land for public works and other public purposes. It consists of 51 sections (grouped into 6 Parts) and completed by two Schedules. Part 2 defines which are the purposes for which land may be taken, the procedures for notification and objections and the means by which land may be taken. Part 3 deals with the discontinuance of taking land, Part 4 with compensation while Part 5 and 6 deal with general and transitional matters.

Part 2 specifies which land can become part of the park and the effects on proprietors’ rights of land’s inclusion in the park (sect. 11). Part 3 constitutes the Brisbane Forest Park Advisory Planning Board and specifies its composition, operation, functions and powers. Part 4 establishes the Brisbane Forest Park Administration Authority, a corporation sole constituted by the Minister, responsible for the management of the park.

    An Act on foreign ownership of land and on its registration, it consists of 45 sections and is divided into six Parts. Under section 11, the registrar has to maintain a register called Foreign Ownership of Land Register, the information contained in the register can be accessed by the public upon payment of prescribed fees (sect. 14). Part 3 is dedicated to notification of ownership and of related matters to the registrar. Part 4 is covers offences and penalties and Part 5 contains provisions on forfeiture and restraining orders.

The objectives of the Act and its application are described in Chapter 1. Chapter 3 covers reserves, deeds of grant in trust and roads. Chapter 4 is dedicated to land holdings: making land available (Part 1), eligibility to hold land (Part 2), leases (Part 3) and permits (Part 4).
