This Act concerns the administration of estates, the ownership of which is not clearly defined of has some legal impediments.Administration shall be carried out by public officers appointed under this Act (i.e. the Master of the High Court, the Deputy Master and Assistant Masters). The Act also concerns the administration of estates subject to customary law.
The Contracting States, in the belief that objectives set out in the Preamble would be better achieved by amending the 1968 Algiers Convention on the Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources by expanding elements related to sustainable development, have agreed on measures to enhance environmental protection, to foster the conservation and sustainable use of natural resources; and to harmonize and coordinate policies in these fields with a view to achieving ecologically rational, economically sound and socially acceptable development policies and programs for the Convention area.

This Agricultural Sector Development Strategy (ASDS) is the overall national policy document for the agricultural sector ministries and stakeholders in Kenya. The agricultural sector comprises the following subsectors: crops, livestock, fisheries, land, water, cooperatives, environment, regional development and forestry. The sector also includes the development of arid and semi-arid lands.
This Act empowers the Director of Agriculture to make Land Preservation Orders under section 3 for purposes set out in subsection 2 of section 3. In such Orders the Director may, for reasons of protection of soil and other preservation of land, prohibit, regulate or control braking or clearing of land for cultivation, grazing of livestock, and the destruction of vegetation and may require or regulate afforestation, protection of slopes or catchment areas, drainage of land, supervision of abandoned land, and the use of land for agricultural purposes.
This Act amends the Penal Law so as to introduce measures against unauthorized possession or occupation of land and criminal conveyance of land. “Criminal conveyance” means the conveyance through sale, donation or lease of land by a person who has no title to do so. The Act defines offenses relating to criminal conveyance of land and prescribes penalties for such offences. The Act also defines affirmative defense.
This Notice of the President of South Africa, made pursuant to section 235(8) of the Constitution, assigns the administration of the Mountain Catchment Areas Act, excluding certain functions that fall outside the functional areas specified in Schedule 6 to the Constitution, to a competent authority, to be designated by the Premier of the province concerned, within the jurisdiction of the government of a province mentioned in section 124 of the Constitution.
