   The Zimbabwe Agenda for Sustainable Socio-Economic Transformation (Zim Asset) is a national development plan for the years 3013-2018 to achieve sustainable development and social equity anchored on indigenization, empowerment and employment creation. It is built around four strategic clusters: food security and nutrition; social services and poverty eradication; infrastructure and utilities; and value addition and beneficiation.

   This Act establishes the Urban Development Corporation, defines its functions and powers and provides with respect to organization and financing of the Corporation.The operations of the Corporation shall be controlled by the Urban Development Board. The Corporation shall be instrumental in the planning and coordination of development in rural and urban areas declared to be development areas for purposes of this Act. Declaration of development areas in a Forest Estate or a Parks and Wildlife Estate requires the consent of the competent Minister.

   Persons having acquired a just and lawful right of title in derelict lands, either by prescription or by contract or in any other manner, may apply to the High Court to order the registration of such title (sect. 3). Section 4 provides for the application for the registration of land by persons entitled to "expropriate" such land. Section 5 provides for the application to the high Court for relief by persons having a claim on derelict land.

   This Act concerns rural land. The Act consists of 15 sections divided into 4 Parts: Preliminary (I); Acquisition and Alienation of State Land (II); Occupation of Land by Person Other Than Owner Not Involving Subdivision (III); General (IV).Communal land and other specified types of land are excluded from the operation of this Act (sect. 3). Section 5 provides for the acquisition of land by the State; section 6 for the alienation of State land.

   These Regulations place size limits on rural land in ownership. Rural land is basically land other than urban land, communal land or land owned by the State, a statutory body or a local authority. For the purposes of these Regulations, Zimbabwe shall be divided into classes of Natural Regions, depending upon the average rainfall during a year and the rainy season.    No person may discharge any effluent liquid onto land or use any effluent liquid for the irrigation of any land, without appoval by the appropriate health authority (sect. 3). No person may use any effluent liquid from any sewage-treatment installation or oxidation ponds for the irrigation of any land where crops for consumption are present (sect. 6). No person may use such liquid for the irrigation of any land within 200 metres of an occupied dwelling or 50 meters from any road using sprinklers, unless such liquids comply with standards as set out in the Schedule (sect. 7).

   No person shall without prior approval of the Board as defined in the Natural Resources Act cultivate or permit to be cultivated any land or destroy any vegetation in the vicinity of specified inland waters. The Board may, when granting approval, impose such terms as deemed necessary for the protection of natural resources. The Board may withdraw approval if a person fails to comply with the terms prescribed. (7 regulations)

   These By-laws, approved by the Minister in terms of section 90 of the Rural District Councils Act, shall apply to communal and resettlement land within the Makonde Rural District Council. They allow the Makonde Rural District Council to prepare a plan for- (a) all communal or resettlement land within the Council area; or (b) any ward or combination of wards in communal and resettlement land within the Council area; or (c) any part of award or wards in communal and resettlement land within the Council area. The By-laws set out the procedure for preparation and adoption of the Plan.

    La présente loi autorise la ratification de la réglementation commune aux Etats membres du CILSS sur l’homologation des pesticides, révisée et adoptée par le Conseil des Ministres du CILSS, le 16 décembre 1999 à N’Djaména (Tchad), dont le but est de mettre en commun (dans un cadre sous-régional de coopération) les expériences et l’expertise des Etats membres pour l’évaluation et l’homologation des pesticides afin d’assurer leur utilisation rationnelle et judicieuse, ainsi que la protection de la santé humaine et de l’environnement.
