This report was prepared by Centre for Land Governance, NRMC, the Secretariat of India Land & Development Conference 2017. This report provides an overview of the proceedings of India Land & Development Conference, organized at India International Centre, New Delhi, India on April 5-6th 2017.
This report consists sharing of experiences, knowledge and practices over eight thematic sessions, two panel discussions and a special session.

According to land reform experts, in Afghanistan, as in other developing countries, land administration is critical to economic growth and security. Since 2004, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) has supported efforts to address land reform and land tenure in Afghanistan because of their effects on the economy and the lives of the Afghan people. According to a U.S. Institute of Peace land expert, the majority of Afghans do not have proper legal documentation for their land ownership, due in part to poor paper records and land titles.

The present Regulations are mande under the Provincial Lands Act, 2016. In particular, the Regulations provide for use and ownership of agricultural land in the Province of Saskatchewan. Furthermore, the Regulations address the issue of foreign ownership, sale of provincial land, agricultural leases, leases for oil and gas development or mineral development.

La propuesta por la paz de la comunidad San José de Apartadó es significativa por la potencialidad de construirse desde adentro y marcando diferentes e independencia del Estado. San José de Apartadó tiene normas propias de conducta interna y además, una política de soberanía para afuera.

Sabino Romero y el pueblo yukpa comenzaron a recuperar las tierras que ancestralmente les pertenecía y que fue ocupado por ganaderos, quienes los despojaron de sus tierras.Frente a estas acciones, los ganaderos tomaron represalias en contra los indígenas por lo que muchos murieron en la década del 2000. No fue hasta el asesinato de Sabino que el Gobierno compró las bienhechurías de los hacendados

En el año 2000, se intensificaron las amenazas de expansión de la frontera agrícola, extracción de madera, cacería comercial y pesca masiva no controlada, creándose conflictos entre aripaeños y foráneos por el uso del bosque y sus espacios. Por ello, los comunarios del lugar iniciaron las conversaciones para concretar un Acuerdo de Conservación.
