The purposes of this Act are to provide for the protection and conservation of places and objects of cultural heritage significance and the registration of such places and objects; (b) to establish a Heritage Council; and (c) to establish a Victorian Heritage Register. It also provides for the establishment of a special fund for the management of heritage places and objects.
This Act, consisting of 274 Sections divided into eight Parts and completed by eight Schedules, regulates the property Land Law in the territory of Victoria. The Act includes also provisions on registration, dispute settlement, insurances and public auctions. The main purposes of this Act, consisting of 32 Sections divided into seven Parts and completed by 13 Schedules, are the following: to revoke reservations over various parcels of land; to revoke Crown grants and a Certificate of Title in relation to some of that land; to repeal the Burrumbeet (Russell Reserve) Land Act 1982; to provide for the revocation of part of the reservation of land at Albert Park and the re-reservation of that land; to provide for entry on and use of reserved land at Argyle Square for the construction and on-going use of a car park beneath that land.
This Act provides for the protection, recognition and conservation of Aboriginal cultural heritage in Victoria.The Act aims at promoting the management of aboriginal cultural heritage as an integral part of land and natural resource management; establishing a Victorian Aboriginal Heritage Register; establishing processes for the timely and efficient assessment of activities that may harm Aboriginal cultural heritage; establishing mechanisms that enable the resolution of disputes relating to the protection of aboriginal cultural heritage; and providing appropriate sanctions and penalties.The

This Act covers all aspects of the registration and transfer of title to land. The purpose of this Act, consisting of eight Parts and one Schedule, is: to ensure that the power to make subordinate legislation is exercised subject to Parliament's authority and control; to regulate the preparation, making, publication and scrutiny of subordinate legislation; to provide for public participation in the preparation and scrutiny of subordinate legislation; to amend the Interpretation of Legislation Act 1984 in relation to incorporated documents, the incorporation of amendments and the admissibility of Acts and subordinate instruments.
These Regulations implement the Planning and Environment Act 1987 by, among others, prescribing the manner and form of giving notice as required under the Act, related forms and information; defining the manner for keeping the register prescribed by the Act and for securing access to information.
