Digital technologies are slowly spreading in agriculture sectors globally. But their adoption is hampered by the digital divide which requires significant public investments, improved policy and incentive frameworks to be bridged. Only after that, digital transformation will take place at scale. DAP is meant to assess the country's readiness for this digital transformation by identifying main bottlenecks, opportunities and risks for digital transformation. DAP will thus guide public investment and policy work to accelerate the scaling up of digital transformation.

A study was undertaken along land use gradients in Taita-Taveta district, southeast Kenya to evaluate the occurrence of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) in seven land use types (LUT). The gradient was from indigenous forest (IF) to croplands with coffee (CO), maize (MA), horticulture (HT), napier (NA) and planted forest (PF). Objectives of the study were to assess the evidence of climate change and the additional likely changes in the climate up to 2050. Further the recent changes in land use and their major drivers have been addessed. The outcome of the study are recommendation for adapted farming practices, taking predicted changes in climate into account.

The purpose of the work presented in this report is to demonstrate that policymakers have tools at their disposal that provide significant help in the evaluation of trade-offs, opportunities, and repercussions of the policies under consideration. This report focuses on Colombia, however the analytical framework can be applied to any country interested in exploring country-wide effects and economic viability of policies that aim to reduce GHG emissions from agriculture. Results provided in this study should be seen as an example of the potential applications of the framework developed.

In Mesoamerica, coffee is an important part of agricultural GDP and export revenues which supports about half a million farmers, and employs millions of people on the farms and all along the supply chain. This policy brief summarises the potential risks and impacts of climate change on coffee farming in the region. Traditional coffee agroforests provide important ecosystem services and conserve significant carbon stocks.

Cocoa is increasingly recognized as a crop which is vulnerable to climate change. However, the extent to which current growing areas in Indonesia will be climatically unsuited to cultivation in the future is unknown. This uncertainty makes it difficult for smallholder farmers to plan production at a farm level and for multinational exporters, processors and manufacturers, to forecast yields at a value chain level.
