An Act of Parliament to give effect to Chapter Eleven of the Constitution; to provide for county governments' powers, functions and responsibilities to deliver services and for connected purpose
A BILL for AN ACT of Parliament to provide a framework for the contracting, exploration, development and production of petroleum; cessation of upstream petroleum operations; to give effect to relevant articles of the Constitution in so far as they apply to upstream petroleum operations; and for connected purposes.
This Act provides rules for physical planning in Kenya, establishes Physical Planning Liaison Committees, provides for the appointment of the Director of Physical Planning, requires regional and local authorities to adopt Physical Development Plans in accordance with this Act and provides for control of development and subdivision of land.The Director shall, among other things: (a) formulate development policies, guidelines and strategies; (b) advise the Commissioner of Lands on matters concerning alienation of land under the Government Lands Act and the Trust Land Act; and (c) advise the C
This Act concerns the control and licensing of electricity distribution, natural gas and petroleum businesses and renewable energy.
The object and purpose of this Act is to provide a legal framework for sand harvesting, i.e. the removal, extraction, harvesting or scooping of sand from a designated areas. In particular the Act provides, among other things for the registration of sand dealers and sand harvesting associations, environmental impact assessment and the rehabilitation and protection of the environment from harmful effects of sand harvesting and related activities.
The Act principally concerns the registration of interests in land. This Act shall apply to: (a) registration of interests in all public land as declared by Article 62 of the Constitution; (b) registration of interests in all private land as declared by Article 64 of the Constitution; and (c) registration and recording of community interests in land.The National Land Commission in consultation with national and county governments may, by order in the Gazette, constitute an area or areas of land to be a land registration unit and may at any time vary the limits of any such units.
