   This Act, consisting of 41 sections and completed by two Schedules, provides also for the management of the land vested in Aboriginal Corporations.The sections of this Act are divided into 7 Parts: Preliminary (I); Vesting of Condah Land and Framlingham Forest (II); Management of Condah land (III); Management of Framlingham Forest (IV); Mining (V); Trust Funds (VI); Miscellaneous (VII).On the commencement of this Act, Framlingham Forest, shall be vested in the Kirrae Whurrong Aboriginal Corporation.

   This Act authorizes the grant by the Crown of land at Robinvale to the Murray Valley Aboriginal Cooperative Limited and to extinguish a Crown lease and any other encumbrances over that land.Under section 7 the Act stipulates that no compensation is payable by the Crown in respect of anything done under or arising out of this Act. The Act is completed by one schedule that contains the map of Land which may be granted to the Murray Valley Aboriginal Cooperative Limited.

   Subject to this Part and to any provision to the contrary in a law of the Territory, a person shall not enter onto or remain on Aboriginal land or use a road unless he has been issued with a permit to do so in accordance with this Part (sect. 4). An Aboriginal who is entitled by Aboriginal tradition to enter onto an area of Aboriginal land may enter onto that area of Aboriginal land. An Aboriginal who is entitled by Aboriginal tradition to remain on an area of Aboriginal land may remain on that area of Aboriginal land.

   This Act makes provision for the establishment of the Wreck Bay Aboriginal Community Council, for the grant of Aboriginal Land to that Council and for other matters relating to such land and the Council.The Council is established as a body corporate and shall hold title in and manage Aboriginal Land for purpose of the members of the Aboriginal community. The Council shall also protect and conserve natural and cultural sites on Aboriginal Land and engage in land-use planning for such land.
