Land tenure issues are becoming increasingly important worldwide. Problems such as high population pressure, increases in resource degradation, food shortages, transformations of political systems and regional and supra-regional resource conflicts have brought the land issue to the public's attention.
This Order, made under section 13 of the Landholding Control Act, specifies fees for purposes of that section. Fees are to be paid for the first grant or renewal of a landholding licence or another licence to own or lease land by foreigners.

...The main purpose of this paper is to examine legal measures taken to recognize
indigenous groups and provide for their ongoing operation; the paper starts, therefore, from an
underlying assumption that indigenous groups have continued relevance to the needs and wishes
of the people who operate within them. Nevertheless, while it is beyond the scope and purpose of
the paper to explore this complex issue in any depth, it may be useful to present – however briefly
– some of the arguments made for and against the preservation of indigenous groups. In the
Methodology of calculation of damage inflicted to the state by violation of land legislation establishes rules for calculating payments for compensation of losses caused by damage, destruction and contamination by chemicals, including land pollution by unauthorized disposal of industrial, household and other waste, and applies to any land category, regardless of location and ownership.

Based on a survey of 60 villages in Western Ghana, where cocoa is the dominant crop, this study explores evolutionary changes in land tenure institutions on women's land rights and the efficiency of tree resource management....With increasing population pressure, customary land tenure institutions in Western Ghana have evolved toward individualized systems in order to provide appropriate incentives to invest in tree planting and management. Contrary to the conventional wisdom, individualization of land rights has strengthened women’s rights to land.
