   This Act defines powers and duties of Curator of Vacant Estates in respect of vacant estates and provides for the administration of such estates by the Curator.The Officer of the Curator of Vacant Estates is created under this Act and the Curator shall be appointed by the President. “Vacant Estates” shall comprise vacant successions and unclaimed property. The Curator shall act on the authority of a Vesting Order to be issued by a judge after procedures as prescribed by this Act have been completed.

Pour apporter des réponses efficaces et durables au problème de la sécurisation foncière des acteurs ruraux, le gouvernement du Burkina Faso a décidé d’entreprendre l’élaboration d’un document de politique nationale de sécurisation foncière en milieu rural (PNSFMR).

Existing districts shall continue as districts for the purposes of this Act and new districts may be declared by the President by Executive Instrument.The Minister shall establish for each district, municipality or metropolis existing or created under this Act a District Assembly. The Act defines functions and powers of District Assemblies and provides rules for their functioning.

   The aim of this Proclamation is to improve management and utilization of land and land resources for agricultural purposes. It applies to all land that lies outside of municipal borders. The Proclamation defines the right to acquire, free of charge, rural land by adult residents of the region, whose livelihood depends on agriculture, and other subjects. It also defines land use rights of peasants, pastoralists and semi-pastoralists and provides for the protection of such rights.

   These Regulations implement provisions of the Survey Act with respect to the Land Surveyors Board, the Standing Committee on Geographical Names, the examination and issue of licences, land survey operations, government land surveys and resolution of disputes. The Regulations also provide for the reservation of land in case of survey for purposes of alienation of government land in coastal areas and near to lakes or tidal rivers.

   This Act makes provision for a wide variety of matters regarding public and private land and community land (as defined respectively by Articles 62, 63, 64 and 260 of the Constitution), and in particular provides of the sustainable administration and management of land and land-based resources.    This Act concerns judicial sales of property including agricultural crop. It gives rules for the seizure and execution by way of sale. At any time, while the execution debtor remains in possession of the property seized, as judicial sequestrator, any creditor may obtain an order for the sale of part or of the whole of the crop of the said property. All sums of money which shall have been advanced by any sequestrator in accordance with the foregoing provisions shall be a privileged claim on the crop of the property.

    This Presidential Decree, consisting of 2 Chapters, regulates spatial planning for public lands within the coastal area of the Province of Luanda transferring them to the private sector, according to Law No. 9/98. In particular, it regulates the public coastal lands and public territories within the maritime areas destined to the settlement of infrastructures and support equipments, not only limited for beach facilities, but also for the entire marine coastal zones within the Province of Luanda.
