It aims to broaden the understanding of the complexity of causes that lead to land conflicts in order to provide for better-targeted ways of addressing such conflicts, and provides a number of tools with which to analyse land disputes. In addition, this guidebook discusses a wide variety of options and tools for settling ongoing land conflicts and for preventing new ones.

It is the principal water source for Nairobi, the capital city, providing water for hydroelectric power generation and irrigation. Several of the flagship projects laid out in Vision 2030 - the blueprint that guides Kenya’s national development – are located in the basin. This report presents the findings of a study to determine the possible impacts of climate change on the hydrology of the basin.

RegulacionesOctubre, 2017Reino UnidoThese Regulation amend for Wales, Part 2 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 so as to insert a new section (33ZA) on fixed penalty notices for contravention of section 33(1)(a) of the Act. The new section enable an authorised officer of a Welsh waste collection authority to issue a fixed penalty notice for contravention of that section in the area of the authority. Section 33(1)(a), subject to certain exemptions, prohibits the deposit of controlled waste or extractive waste in or on any land other than in accordance with an environmental permit.
