    This reprint shows the legislation current as at the date on the cover and is authorised by the Parliamentary Counsel. A new reprint of the legislation will be prepared by the Office of the Queensland Parliamentary Counsel when any change to the legislation takes effect. This change may be because a provision of the original legislation, or an amendment to it, commences or because a particular provision of the legislation expires or is repealed. This Regulation implements the Foreign Ownership of Land Register Act 1988 by setting the values of the fees prescribed under the Act.

    This Regulation, consisting of five Parts, implements the Vegetation Management Act 1999. It provides for the classification of regional ecosystems, which are listed in the annexed schedules, and it gives effect to the statutory codes, policies and maps that underpin the vegetation management framework.The Regulation is completed by eigth schedules: endangered regional ecosystems, of concern regional ecosystems, least concern regional ecosystems, grassland regional ecosystems, trees prescribed for the Act, fees and dictionary.

    This Regulation provides for the implementation of the Aboriginal Land Act 1991. The Regulation is divided into 8 Parts (56 regulations) and is completed by 5 Schedules. Part 2 sets out provisions on land trusts and Part 3 provides codes of conduct about mining leases. Part 4 prescribes mining royalties and Part 5 regulates appeals to the Land Appeal Court. The remaining Parts address declarations, provisions of miscellaneous nature, and transitional provisions.

The Act vests powers in the chief executive of Primary Industries relating to soil conservation to facilitate the implementation of soil conservation by land holders. The main instruments are property plans, run-off coordination notices, project plans for project areas and soil conservation orders.

    This Act amends the laws relating to liens upon sugar cane. In the Act, lien “means the charge (made enforceable under this Act when registered and while subsisting) whereby any crop and the proceeds thereof become security for the discharge of any debt or obligation (sect. 2). Section 5 requires the chief executive to keep a register of all liens, other sections concern the operation of the register (sect. 6 to 7R) and matters related to liens.

    The Act concern the rights of foreign countries to hold land for diplomatic, consular and other official purposes, it consists of seven sections. It lists the purposes for which foreign governments may hold land (sect. 2), recognizes their authority to hold land (sect. 3), it provides for registration of title of foreign government to land (sect. 4) and for exemption from land tax and rates (sect. 5). Section 6 specifies the extent of application of State law on land hold by foreign governments.
