The present Act introduces some amendments to the Building Act of 11 December 2008. In particular, the Act amends article 51 establishing that provided that the safety and exposure are ensured and the adjacent stocking is not impaired by the structural measures, the building authority can grant a forest distance reduced to 7.00 m. Article 66, paragraph is repealed.

Article 1 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Leaseholder of a plot of agricultural land pertaining to public or municipal ownership shall have the right of purchase of such plot of land in ownership on condition of proper use of such plot of land upon expiry of three-year period from the date of conclusion of lease contract set forth as percentage related to cadastre value and depending upon expiry of lease periods”.

This Act provides that any land upon which an agricultural labourer, an artisan or a fisherman has a dwelling house which is complete in itself and not shared in common with any person other than a person belonging to the same family shall be in the ownership of such an agricultural labourer, an artisan or a fisherman. The Act states that the State government shall pay a price to the former owner, acquire such land and, thereafter, transfer the same to the agricultural labourer, artisan or fisherman who owns the homestead on the land.
This Ordinance provides with respect to land title surveys in the Islands. Persons that carry out a survey shall be an surveyor authorised under this Ordinance by the Governor. Any surveyor working for the government shall be deemed to be authorised as long as he or she is employed by the government. The Governor may from time to time order public surveys. The Ordinance also provides for powers of authorised surveyors, compensation of damage done during survey and regulation-making powers of the Governor.

The purpose of the present Act is to transpose into national legislation the Directive 2007/2/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 14 March 2007 establishing an Infrastructure for Spatial Information in the European Community (INSPIRE). Article 1 of the above-mentioned Act establishes that the present Act regulates the creation, maintenance and organization of a national spatial data infrastructure. In particular the Act aims to provide authorities, economy, science and the public with spatial information in a sustainable, up to date, quick and simple way.
The objects of this Act, consisting of 233 sections divided into twelve Chapters and completed by four Schedules, include assisting in the achievement of ecologically sustainable development in the State by establishing an integrated scheme to promote the use and management of natural resources in a manner that recognises and protects the intrinsic values of natural resources; seeks to protect biological diversity and, insofar as is reasonably practicable, to support and encourage the restoration or rehabilitation of ecological systems and processes that have been lost or degraded; provides
This Act provides with respect to spatial and land use planning at national, regional and district level in Ghana. It established the Land Use and Spatial Planning Authority and the Land Use and Spatial Planning Development Fund.
This Act concerns the development and management of geothermal resources for purposes of obtaining geothermal energy. It establishes the Geothermal Resources Advisory Committee. “Geothermal energy” means the energy derived or derivable from and produced within the earth by natural heat phenomena, and includes geothermal water. The Geothermal Resources Advisory Committee shall advise the Minister on development of geothermal energy.
Article 7 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Authorized regional state institution in the sphere of protection of objects of cultural heritage shall be responsible for elaboration, validation and performance of institutional specific programs in the sphere of conservation, management, promotion and state protection of the objects of cultural heritage”.
