This Decree-Law enforces the Plan for Rural Development (RURIS) for the period 2000-2006. It consists of 23 articles specifying the financial measures to be issued in particular to the following sectors:(a) Agricultural Reform; (b) Compensations; (c) Agricultural and environmental measures; (d) Reforestation programme of agricultural lands.
This Resolution approves the Regulation for Coastal Zone Planning of 'Albufeira de Alvito' (POAA). This Legislative Decree establishes Land Use Planning within the Autonomous Region of Madeira (POTRAM). It consists of 6 Chapters defining the general acctions to be performed for the planning and development of land use and soil occupation, defense and protection of environment and natural heritage, etc. The Regulation is divided as follows: General provisions, structure of territory, zoning and classification of lands (Chap. 1); Lands to be exploited (2); Agricultural and forestry lands (3); Wildlife protected areas and ecosystem preservation (4); Pipelines (5) and Urban land (6).

This Regional Decree adopts to the Autonomous Region of Azores Decree-Law No. 219/94 (concerning the coastal zone management plan). It consists of 3 articles specifying that for the Autonomous Region of Azores the competent authority entitled for the management, exploitation and conservation of: water, environment and natural resources shall be the Regional Direction for the Management and Planning of Territory and Water Resources.
This Decree regulates the Regional Management Plan for Douro River area (PROZED).
This Decree regulates the Regional Management Plan for Algarve (PROT-Algarve). It consists of 6 chapters and 1 table establishing the objectives of the said Plan, which shall be drawn-up in order to: a) establish a strategy for the natural resource development and explotation within this area; b) protect and valorize the Region of Algarve; c) regulate soil use and transformation in order to develop the potentialities of this coastal area; d) preserve natural heritage; e) enforce regional plans for land management; f) enforce regional projects, etc.
This Order regulates the Programme for drainage and soil conservation, under the Portuguese Programme for Agricultural Development (PEDAP). It consists of 16 articles establishing the provisions designed to protect soil from erosion, under the aforementioned Agricultural Programme by the construction of water works and the improvement of this sector.
