This Act makes provision with rights relating to credit for agriculture. A charge, lien or assignment may be created on farming stocks and additional assets in accordance with section 3. “Farming stock” and “additional asset” is defined in section 2. An agricultural charge may be fixed or floating, or both and may be in form and made upon such conditions as the parties to the charge may agree.
This Act provides with respect to a system of charge, lien or assignments on agricultural goods and warehouse receipts for credit, and for supervision and the registration and certification of warehouses and for these and other purposes establishes the Warehouse Licensing Authority. The Authority shall be a body corporate and shall: (a) certify warehouses; (b) approve negotiable warehouse receipt books; and (c) perform any other function incidental or conducive to the carrying out of its functions under this Act or any other law.
The Heading of section 9 now reads: "Registration and filing of documents and exemptions". Subsection (1) now reads: "Despite the provisions of any other Act, a mortgage bond, agreement, consent, authorisation or other document tendered for the purposes of this Act at any deeds register for registration or filing, may be prepared, executed and attested by an officer of the department.".

Discusses agricultural investments in Mali. Analyses national trends in investment flows and patterns; assesses the adequacy of the legal and institutional framework regulating land and investment; and examines two examples of more inclusive investments. Findings provide ground for concern as to the preparedness of national frameworks to ensure that investment pursues sustainable development goals. Also provide insights on the potential and challenges of making more inclusive investment models work in practice.
The study aims to reveal the transition features of agricultural land use in the Groundnut Basin of Senegal from 2009 to 2018, especially the impact of urbanization on agricultural land and the viewpoint of farmland spatiotemporal evolution. Integrated data of time series MCD12Q1 land-use images of 2009, 2012, 2015, and 2018 were used to provide a land transition in agricultural and urban areas through the synergistic methodology. Socio-economic data was also used to serve as a basis for the argument.
In recent years, Cameroon has been approached by growing numbers of local and international investors wanting to acquire arable land for large-scale agro-industrial operations. This study takes a closer look at large-scale land acquisitions since 2005. Examining the legal framework and the practical implications of these land acquisitions, it shows that there is a risk that they will affect the long-term capacity of communities to preserve their traditional way of living.
Agroecological zones (AEZs) are geographical areas exhibiting similar climatic conditions that determine their ability to support rainfed agriculture. At a regional scale, AEZs are influenced by latitude, elevation, and temperature, as well as seasonality, and rainfall amounts and distribution during the growing season.

This report presents experiences discussed at a workshop on the use of collaborative business models in agricultural investments, which aimed to facilitate the exchange of experiences and lesson and to generate lessons from local initiatives to be fed into international processes. The focus was on agriculture defined broadly to include agri-food, biofuels, timber plantations and other agricultural commodities. Experience from other sectors, such as tourism, was included to the extent that they provided insights for agricultural investments.
These Regulations amend the Land Survey Regulations by inserting a new table of contents and in regulations, 1, 4, 10, 11, 13, 19, 20 and 21. The amendments mainly concerns methods of measurement and survey, procedures for temporary and final approval of a survey by the Surveyor-General and connection of a survey to the National Co-ordinate System.
