Results of the innovation plans contest | Land Portal

Innovative Experiences in participatory cartography and legal empowerment as tools to solve conflicts and ensure indigenous and peasant communities’ land rights in Central America The International Land Coalition - Latin America (ILC-LA) and the Regional Corporation PROCASUR are pleased to announce the results of the Innovation Plans (IP) Contest developed as part of the learning path “Innovative experiences in participatory cartography and legal empowerment as tools to solve conflicts and ensure indigenous and peasant communities´ land Rights in Central America” in August, 2010, in Nicaragua and Guatemala.



The IP Contest is an incentive for the application of the learning achievements and relevant practices acquired during the learning path and a support for the path participants as agents of innovation. For this contest eleven innovation plans were submitted, which were evaluated by an expert committee composed by ILC Secretariat and PROCASUR. According to an evaluation criteria, 5 Innovation Plans were selected as winners:
