This Ordinance grants powers to the Administrator of Nauru to make Regulations affecting the affairs of natives with regard to various matters, including: (a) the succession to property in case of intestacy; (b) the rights to real and personal property; and (c) the cultivation of the soil.
This Part of the Statute Law Revision Act 2011 amends the Nauru Antiquites Ordinance 1935 by changing the Title from "Ordinance" in "Act" and by making consequential amendments. The Act also amends various sections in relation with various authorities.

Section 3 prohibits transfer inter-vivos of the freehold of any land in Nauru to any person other than a Nauruan person. Such transfer or purported transfer, or any agreement to execute any such transfer, shall be absolutely void and of no effect. Section 4 guarantees validity of existing titles in land, acts relating to land, etc. under the present Act.

This Act concerns the abolition on certain restrictions concerning trusts and provides rules for the creation in Nauru of a trust in perpetuity or for any lesser duration. This Act shall not apply to any settlement, disposition or trust of any land or of any interest in any land where such land is situated in Nauru. The Act also concerns grant of administration of a foreign will or estate.
