Areas listed may not be entered without possession of a valid permit issued by the specified authority. This Act regulates the alienation, use of and control over State land. The President shall appoint a Chief Valuer to carry out the valuation of all State lands, of lands managed for or on behalf of the Government, etc. A Commissioner of Lands shall be appointed by the Minister for the general administration of the Act (sect. 2D).

These Rules make minor amendments to several rules of the Land Surveyors Act (Chapter 156). Following rule 13 a new part is inserted: Part II A dealing with continuing professional development units which registered surveyors obtain by successfully completing activities, courses and programmes authorizing them to engage in survey work in Singapore.
