Under section 1, the purpose of the Act is to provide a system for the registration of the title to land in the Province and instruments related thereto and to provide statutory authority for guaranteed land title. It provides for the establishment of a land title system (sect. 4), regulates the appointment and functions of the Registrar General and other officers (sects. 5-7), provides for parcel identification and registration (sects. 10-17), covers transfers (sects. 21-22), crown grants (sect. 23), easements (sect. 24), mortgages (sects. 25-26), leases (sects. 27-28), and caveats (sects. 30-35). The Act regulates all legal and administrative proceedings related to land titles and defines related fees.
