The President, with a view of strengthening control over protection and rational management of land, improvement of geodetic and cartographic activity, regulating keeping state cadastre and state registers, essential improvement of the operation of the State Committee on Land Resources, Geodesy, Cartography and State Cadastre, decrees to assign the following tasks the Committee: (a) development and implementation of unified state policy on rational use of land resources, in the field of geodesic and cartographic activity; (b) implementation of systemic state control over rational use and protection of land, state geodetic supervision over strict compliance with the legislative requirements with the application of legal proceedings to liable persons; (c) the development and implementation of state programs on rational use of land resources, preservation and protection of land, increase of soil fertility, increase of efficiency of geodesic and cartographic activity; (d) management of the state land cadastre, mapping, geodesic inventory, state inventory of buildings and structures, land cadastre, as well as the unified system of state inventories; (e) coordination of activities of public authorities and bodies in the sphere of land cadastre and state registers management; (f) monitoring of agricultural land, sowing and cultivation of crops using unmanned aerial vehicles, ensuring the operation of satellite navigation systems using geodetic data and cartographic materials; (g) cartographic monitoring and distant zoning of the national territory; and (h) international cooperation in the aforesaid fields.
