    The Global Land Tool Network (GLTN) is committed to promoting pro-poor land policies, legislative processes, land administration systems and procedures. The Framework for Costing and Financing of Land Administration Services (CoFLAS) is a decision-support tool for land administration which provides a series of templates to identify the core needs and necessary investment for land reform processes. The outcome of a CoFLAS assessment is a series of reports that guide decision making related to land reform, identify the cost implications of decisions and support fit-for-purpose approaches.

The challenges faced by women living in Muslim contexts do not substantially differ from those faced by women in other parts of the world: socially prescribed gender roles, unequal power dynamics, discriminatory family practices, unequal access to justice are the most common.

    This report presents the results of the multi-country assessment carried out in 17 countries across the world. The findings of this assessment is expected to directly inform the work of the co-custodian agencies for land Indicator 1.4.2 (UN-Habitat and World Bank) in formulating a coherent capacity development strategy for NSOs at country level, and strengthen their collaboration with land agencies for enhanced data infrastructure needed to regularly report on this indicator.

    This Expert Group Meeting (EGM1 ) was convened with the purpose of examining land indicators in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and promoting meaningful and harmonised approaches to monitoring women’s land rights (WLR)2 .     This publication outlines the process undertaken by UN Habitat/GLTN and The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Representation in Kenya to support the Ministry of Lands, Physical Planning and Urban Areas Management of the Turkana County Government-Kenya, in establishing a county Land Information Management System based on the Social Tenure Domain Model (STDM). The project was carried out in the context of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) program entitled, Support for Responsible Land and Natural Resource Governance of Communal Lands in Kenya.
