    These Regulations amend the Land Registration (Conduct of Business) Regulations 2000 by substituting a new table specifying the provisions in the Land Registration Rules 1925 which authorize or require acts to be done by the Registrar and which acts may, by virtue of the principal Regulations, be done by the Solicitor to H.M. Land Registry or an Acting Solicitor to H.M. Land Registry or, for certain purposes, by a Deputy Solicitor to H.M. Land Registry.

    Section 18 of the Agriculture Act 1986 gives the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food power to designate areas in England as environmentally sensitive areas where it appears to him particularly desirable to conserve, protect or enhance environmental features in those areas by the maintenance or adoption of particular agricultural methods. This Order designates areas in Breckland, Clun, North Peak, Suffolk River Valleys and Test Valley as environmentally sensitive areas (art. 3).

    This Scheme complies with Council Regulation (EC) No. 1257/99 of 17th May 1999 on support for rural development from the European Agricultural Guidance and Guarantee Fund and in particular Articles 4 to 7 which deal with investment in agricultural holdings.
