These Regulations prescribe in the Schedule fees, costs and expenses which shall be charged and be payable in respect of loans and applications for loans granted under the Agricultural Finance Corporation Act. They also set out, in the Schedule, covenants and conditions implied in every mortgage relative to loans granted by the Corporation.

The Act amends the Agricultural Holdings (Scotland) Act 1991 in relation with succession and rent review and the Agricultural Holdings (Scotland) Act 2003 by adding a new provision to section 9 on the review of rent under limited duration tenancies.

The Act consists of 95 sections divided into 8 Parts. In Chpater I of Part I the various types of agricultural tenancy are defined. Chapter 2 contains general provision as to new types of tenancy. Part 2 provides for the tenant's right to buy land. Part III concerns diversification of use of land under agricultural tenancy.
