Een boom kan tot 150 kg CO2 per jaar absorberen, koolstof vastleggen en daardoor de klimaatverandering bestrijden. Bomen leveren leefomgeving, voedsel en bescherming voor planten en dieren, en verbeteren de biodiversiteit in het stedelijk gebied. Planten van bomen is essentieel voor toekomstige generaties!

    Throughout the Netherlands, land owners (or their lessees) use adjacent public or private land without any right. There is, however, no scientific empirical data on how often and where land is illegally used. On the basis of empirical case studies, this research has the following aims: make an estimate of how often illegal land use occurs in the Netherlands; which kind of land is illegally used; in what kind of spatial context it is illegally used; and for what purpose it is illegally used.

    This Decree defines the content of a Extraction Waste Management Plan and concerns permits as defined in section 8.1. of the Environment Protection Act or section 1 of the Act on the Pollution of Surface Waters. In particular, the Decree defines the conditions the competent authority shall attach to permits. These conditions regard the operation of waste treatment facilities and aim at the protection of water and soil.

    This Act makes provision with respect to planning and ecological experiments in urban areas. City Councils may take decisions derogating from existing requirements regarding soil, water, etc in experimental areas within 5 years from the date of entry into force of this Act if it holds that the experiment will contribute to the improvement if the environment and quality of live.

    This Decree concerns the protection of the soil from polluting substances and works that deteriorate the quality of soil. The Decree prescribes rules for the use of construction materials and defines methods to measure effects on the environment and in particular the subsoil groundwater. Other rules concern use of dredging materials, also in agriculture. The Decree defines specific standards for use and storage and makes provision for control and enforcement.

    This Regulation contains general rules for the prevention and limitation of harmful effects on the environment caused by horticulture with covered cultivations. This category is defined by article 1.1 of the Environment Protection Act. Covered cultivation shall be carried out in accordance with directions outlined in the Attachment to this Regulation. Who intends to start covered horticulture shall give notice at least four weeks before starting to the inspector and the appropriate authorities (art. 3).

    This Act concerns a special taxation regime for certain country estates for purposes of protection of the natural environment and landscape in the Netherlands. The owner of an estate may apply to the Minister so as to qualify the estate to fall with the application of this Act. Tax exemptions shall be disapplied and tax must be paid in cases when the conditions and criteria formulated under this Act cease to exist or certain requirements have not been observed by owners.

    This Act provides for an administrative arrangement for central and local authorities concerning spatial planning and development in rural areas. In particular, the Act aims at geographically directed policy by competent authorities for the development of rural areas. It also provides for an administrative framework for the financial arrangements under Council Regulation (EC) No. 1698/2005 on support for rural development by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development. The Act also concerns land consolidation measures.
