    The present Act provides for the continuation of the Heritage Manitoba as a body corporate consisting of the members of the board and such other persons as may become members pursuant to the by-laws. Section 9 establishes that the objects of the Foundation are, inter alia, to receive, acquire by purchase, donation o lease, and to hold, preserve, maintain or construct, restore and manage property both real and personal of historical, architectural, recreational, aesthetic or scenic interest for the use, enjoyment and benefit of the people of Manitoba.     The present Regulation lays down provisions relating to provincial land use policies. In particular, they are intended to promote sustainable development. They serve as a guide to provincial and local authorities undertaking and reviewing land use plans. The Policies may be refined and adapted at the local level to suit the needs of different areas of Manitoba. A new land use plan, or amendment to an existing plan, shall be reviewed to ensure that it fulfills the objectives of the Policies in a reasonable manner. The Agreement deals with the following issues: transfer of public lands generally, school lands funds and school lands, water, fisheries, Indian reserves, national parks, seed, grain, general reservation to Canada, historic sites, birds, sanctuaries, financial terms.
