    Cet articleaborde les tensions engendrées par les mouvements des troupeaux des éleveurs nomades et la compétition autour des ressources naturelles. Nous étudions le cas des éleveurs nomades (kassâba) sahariens originaires du Sud-ouest marocain dans leur mobilité à la recherche des pâturages dans la région du Souss. Les déplacements de ces kassâbaprovoquent une situation conflictuelle entre les éleveurs d’une part et la population locale villageoise et montagnarde d’autre part.

    In recent years, the call of civil society organizations to formalize rights of local communities and Indigenous Peoples to forests has been growing louder. They argue that formalizing local forest rights will have positive outcomes for livelihoods as well as forest conservation. In response to these calls, many governments have started forest reforms. This has become known as the forest tenure transition.

    The Global Climate Risk Index 2020 analyses to what extent countries and regions have been affected by impacts of weather-related loss events (storms, floods, heatwaves etc.). The most recent data available— for 2018 and from 1999 to 2018 —were taken into account. The countries and territories affected most in 2018 were Japan, the Philippines as well as  Germany. For the period from 1999 to 2018 Puerto Rico, Myanmar and Haiti rank highest.

    Luego de permanecer durante casi dos décadas en el Congreso Nacional, el Estado de Chile ratificó el Convenio 169 de la Organización Internacional del Trabajo (OIT) sobre Pueblos Indígenas y Tribales en Países Independientes el 15 de septiembre de 2008. Conforme a su artículo 38, dicho Convenio adquirió plena vigencias el 15 de septiembre de 2009, doce meses después de su registro ante la oficina del Director General de la OIT.

These are: The Scheduled Tribes and Other Traditional Forest Dwellers (Recognition of Forest Rights) Act, 2006 – India; Regulatory initiatives and selected outcomes of judicial processes in Malaysia; The Community Forest Act (2007) – Thailand; and The Indigenous People’s Rights Act (1997) – Philippines. Each study covers law making, content and implementation.

    This article presents a chronology of the growth of the concept of Indigeneity in Thailand, analysing the particular ways in which the global Indigenous movement has taken root in the country. In Thailand, transnational support networks and the opening of political associational space played key roles in facilitating the growth of, first, a regional, and later a national Indigenous movement during the 1980s and early 2000s, respectively.

    La présente étude vise à évaluer le fonctionnement du Fonds de Développement Local (FDL) de la Série de Développement Communautaire de l’UFA Pokola au Congo. Elle se base sur la revue documentaire, des entretiens semi-structurés avec les personnes ressources, les responsables de ménages ainsi que la tenue des focus groups. Les résultats indiquent que les communautés locales et populations autochtones (CLPA) sont impliquées dans les organes de gestion de la Série de Développement Communautaire, organes responsables de la gestion du FDL.
