    Nowadays it is necessary to process geographic data about landscape in a digital way. It is possible to analyse selected data and approach to decision and proposition-making process of landscaping based on analysis of these results. The LANDEP methodics provides us verified procedures of primary landscape structures assesment and landscaping. Digitalization of selected landscape elements increases processing efficiency, mainly for time reasons. Creation of complex landscape plans of cadastral areas at Slovakia should become a basic priority of every commune.

    Currently the most common methods in forestry mapping includes digital photogrammetry, positioning points system using Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), or a combination of polar method using universal surveying stations. Due to the fact the forest environment its specific conditions – cover stand, complex terrain in many cases the use of these methods in forestry surveying practice to some extent limited.

    The paper solves evaluation of current state of accessing the forest with forest road network in the forest management unit Čierny Váh, evaluatation the state of forest roads, point out shortcomings in accessing the forest and eventually propose optimal solutions to improve the situation in the area of interest. Thesis describes natural conditions of the area of interest.

    Land use reflects the needs, demands and values of human society. We can see two antagonistic trends of land use change in Slovakia over the past few decades. Land use change towards more intensive in some areas (vicinity of cities, highways, lowlands), but others (uplands and mountains with traditionally agricultural used) are abandoned and left to their own spontaneous dynamic. The abandonment of agriculture is a pattern common to all industrialized countries, especially in hilly and mountain ranges (Farina, A., 2007).

    The real tool for achieving of sustainable development is an integrated landscape management. It was defined by Agenda21. It means an integrated approach to planning and to management of landscape resources. In the Slovak Republic the concept of integrated landscape management overcames development on the theoretical-methodological, conceptual and implementational sites. Current is the integrated landscape management defined in the legislation and desired and implemented by several spatial planning processes.

    The paper is aimed on verification of application of local territorial system of ecological stability as landscape-ecological limits and regulations in process of projecting of land consolidation on the model cadastral areas in the district of Žilina. We used informations from project documents on land consolidation provided by the General Land Office.
