Los Informes/País sobre la situación de las mujeres rurales, aportan datos fundamentales para tener en cuenta en cualquier tipo iniciativa que implique a las mujeres rurales, a la vez que proponen recomendaciones puntuales para la garantía de sus derechos. Los Informes son una propuesta de la Iniciativa Basada en Compromisos “Mujer Rural y Derecho a la Tierra” de la Coalición Internacional para el Acceso a la Tierra (ILC).

The resulting CGA report focuses on the intersections of gender, agriculture and rural development, and presents a snapshot of critical gender-based inequalities and their consequences for agricultural production and rural livelihoods in Azerbaijan.

Target 1.4 of the UN Sustainable Development
Goals (SDGs) seeks to ensure that “all men and women, particularly the poor and vulnerable, have equal rights … to ownership and control over land and other forms of property.” This target’s inclusion under SDG Goal 1, on “ending poverty in all its forms,” signifies a new global recognition that secure land tenure should be a central strategy in combating poverty. However, this land agenda has not been prominent in recent SDG reporting processes of governments.
